Greetings from The Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals’ Association (“PRPA”) and hope this note finds you well despite the unprecedented challenge Hong Kong and our industry are facing.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of PRPA. In the past decades, we witness the importance of the role of public relations, as a management function, is evolving and growing. To leverage our anniversary to set an industry milestone and reinforce our fellow practitioners’ professional qualities, we launch a worthy cause - Pledge for Public Relations Professionalism.
The challenge we have been facing in the environment in which the companies are operating sees the more significant role of public relations in dealing with situations by acting professionally, timely communicating with stakeholders, giving advice to management and getting prepared to cope with various business and community scenarios. It testifies the skills, expertise and professional ethics of public relations leaders. Precisely it is what the Pledge conveys and embraces.
